To achieve these objectives, Lifting The Burden will exploit whatever opportunities are presented, and create others in order to observe the Campaign's priorities. However, needs in highly-developed countries including USA and those of Western Europe will not be overlooked.
In its first 5 years, Lifting The Burden expects to have:

• built fully-formed and easily functioning networks;
• acquired objective knowledge of the headache burden in most of the world;
• developed and tested protocols for filling the knowledge gaps;
• established dialogue with change agents in all geographical areas of agreed priority;
• set up at least one beacon interventional project that will have served as methodological pilots.
