None of this will serve any purpose unless the health-care provider is knowledgeable of headache diagnosis and management and is adequately resourced.

Training programmes are required for doctors and others, mostly in primary care, to whom people affected by headache disorders will turn for diagnosis, advice and treatment.

Availability of resources depends upon their due allocation by health-care systems, which is subject to political priorities. Therefore, governments and others in control of policy must also be educated and made aware of the public-health imperative arising from headache disorders.
